Synopsis

A sense of frustration settled upon Goren and Eames. The law offered no recourse for a man whose abusive dominance over his family and neglect of his deeply depressed wife had driven her to repeated attempts at murder-suicide – attempts he had failed to prevent – culminating in the deaths of three of their sons.
