Synopsis

The team’s inquiry deepened when Lia Brown, mother and carer, was fatally struck by a stray bullet, prompting questions about the role of 12-year-old Kaden Blake in her death. Entangled within the local gang culture, silence represented his sole safeguard. DS Matt Devlin felt drawn to this vulnerable boy, grieved by what appeared an inevitable decline dictated by circumstance, and frustrated that Mark Ellis, a local dealer and gang leader, remained beyond the reach of justice.
