Vanessa persuaded a hesitant Mike to accompany her to Grandparents Day at their grandson Boyd’s preschool. In a regrettable display, Mike managed to offend the daycare teacher, resulting in Boyd's expulsion. Boyd’s mother, Kristin, informed Mike that he was now responsible for him.
