Synopsis

Lassie and Caesar, a homing pigeon belonging to the Army that Timmy nursed back to health, developed a deep affection for one another. When Caesar was due to be returned to service, Lassie refused to eat, heartbroken by the impending separation. Determined to reunite with his collie companion, Caesar managed to free himself and fly back to Timmy. Seeing the profound bond between them, Timmy resolved to ask the Army if he could purchase the bird.
