Synopsis

During a prolonged drought, Ruth is stationed at the volunteer fire tower, ready to respond. A wildfire erupts, sparked by a carelessly discarded cigarette, and she must act swiftly. At the same time, Lassie assists Ranger Wade as he attempts to initiate a backfire; he has sustained injuries after falling from his horse while battling the blaze.
