Synopsis

The arrival of baseball legend Roy Campanella at the Calverton Boys' League coincided with Timmy’s earnest campaign to make Lassie the team’s mascot. However, Timmy found himself in a difficult situation when he overheard two boys negotiating the first-game pitching duties. A veiled threat – that Lassie’s mascot aspirations would be jeopardized if he revealed the arrangement – left him deeply troubled.
