Synopsis

The loss of his sheep to a bobcat and the subsequent attack on the Martins left Sam Burke with a profound sense of helplessness. He acquired a formidable German Shepherd named Bismarck, but even as he did so, a nagging feeling persisted – a sense that something beyond a wild animal was responsible for the recent tragedies, a truth Lassie seemed to instinctively perceive.
