Synopsis

The aging Daniel Mueller, known for his cantankerous disposition, has erected a fence around a pasture that serves as a shortcut for the children traveling to and from school. The boys, frustrated by this obstruction, harbor a desire for retribution. However, Lassie understands a softer side to the gruff old man. One night, though, the collie discovers Mueller gravely ill.
