Synopsis

Gramps’s stubborn refusal to sell the farm to the unpleasant Emmet Carey prompted Edgar Carey to concoct a deception. A barbed wire scratch on his arm, acquired in the barn, became, in Edgar’s mind, the work of Lassie. He reasoned that the Millers would concede the farm’s sale rather than relinquish their beloved dog.
