Synopsis

Ron and Dale, back from their studies, headed out for the yearly drive to gather stray cattle, wagering on who would round up the most. But it was Lassie who took the initiative, rescuing a calf ensnared in quicksand. Soon after, she found herself assisting Ron when he was thrown from his horse.
