Synopsis

Lassie and her new companion, a mixed-breed dog named Skipper, were comfortable in the company of Reed and Johnny, two men they had befriended on the shore. Their easy camaraderie dissolved, however, when Johnny learned that Reed was the harbor master, essentially "the law," and abruptly departed. But he soon found himself needing that same authority when, attempting to "borrow" a cabin cruiser advertised for sale, he brought Lassie and Skipper along for the journey.
