Synopsis

Lassie was out tending to her woodland companions when she discovered a black lamb caught in a snare. The small creature was also being watched by a coyote. Lassie drove off the coyote and gnawed the rope free from the trap. As she prepared to depart, the lamb’s pitiful bleating stirred a sense of empathy within her; it seemed utterly without a home.
