It's surprisingly disappointing, though the show makes it easy to move on to the next episode. The central concept isn’t terrible; I enjoy time travel stories and this one offers a unique perspective compared to others in the genre. The performances are uneven, ranging from acceptable to quite poor. A cloying, stereotypical American emphasis on family values detracts significantly, even more so than what was present in *Lost in Space* (2018). It’s good to see the prehistoric animals—they seem accurate for the late Pleistocene period. Still, I question whether those spiders would have been that large; bigger arthropods are typically found in warmer or tropical environments.
