Synopsis

At the precipice of execution, Osman Bey was spared, yet the Kayı tribe now faced a desperate fight for survival, ensnared by the alliance of Mongols and Byzantines, and further weakened by Ilbay’s treachery. Ulugan proclaimed Ilbay Bey the new leader of the Kayıs, a pronouncement that ignited fury in Osman Bey and fueled his resolve for vengeance. Ulugan then resolved to execute Osman before the tribe, but at the last moment altered his plan, instead embarking on a perilous journey with him.
