Synopsis

Following a bout of illness brought on by contaminated water during the drought, Caine finds refuge on the farm of an elderly man who was once enslaved. The farm boasts a well that still provides water, yet its owner, consumed by bitterness, refuses to offer it to his parched neighbors.
