Synopsis

Alice and Jim were stunned to learn from DI Mercer that the police case against Nate might not be simple, and that appearances could be deceiving. Alice, visibly shaken, immediately challenged the situation, her focus falling particularly on Miriam. Simultaneously, Tobi seethed with anger at how the police had treated his family, as DI Mercer delivered further unwelcome news.
