Synopsis

Upon arriving at last in Pumus, Montana—their intended new home—the Rockmores discovered they had settled squarely within a region of rough-hewn country folk. Their house proved to be a modest cabin, the bed riddled with holes, but that was scarcely the most unsettling surprise awaiting them. They encountered a bear, led by none other than Kel himself.
