Synopsis

Hyacinth felt utterly affronted by the second-place award at the village craft fair, especially when it went to Lydia Hawksworth. The slight was compounded when, she and Richard were passed by Lydia in her gleaming new car. Soon, Richard’s deepest anxieties began to materialize, and Hyacinth found herself fixated on acquiring a newer, more luxurious Rolls Royce.
