Synopsis

The thought of waking to Hyacinth’s smile fills Richard with a peculiar dread. It isn't a dislike of her joy, but a stark reminder of a forgotten date. Only later does the truth fully dawn on him: he has overlooked their wedding anniversary. A solution, he decides, is required. He announces his intention to install an alarm system, framing it as a surprise gift for Hyacinth.
