Synopsis

Against all expectation, Kaiji endured the night aboard the *Espoir*, but emerged with a debt of six million two hundred ninety-five thousand yen. Four months have passed since then, and Kaiji has been living a quiet existence, working the counter at a convenience store. This routine is shattered by Endou's reappearance, offering Kaiji a glimmer of hope.
