Maya’s efforts to rally her colleagues to support her beloved charity were met with a wall of indifference. It wasn’t until Jack, ever attuned to public image, spurred them into action – prompting Finch, Elliott, and Nina to contribute – that any progress was made. Even then, it took a direct plea from Maya to finally loosen Jack’s purse strings. He didn't offer his time or labor, instead opting for his customary grand gesture: a check for fifty thousand dollars. When he subsequently received th
