Synopsis

Despite Abigail’s heartfelt protests, John Adams and his son weathered tempestuous seas and a close call with the British Navy to reach Paris with Benjamin Franklin on a diplomatic mission. Yet, even Franklin could not fully temper John’s sharp tongue, a quality that proved even more ill-suited to the refined atmosphere of Paris than it had been to Philadelphia.
