Synopsis

Peter Barakan, speaking with *Japanophiles*, sits down with Tom Hovasse, a basketball coach from the United States. Having spent a significant portion of his playing career in Japan, Hovasse later transitioned to coaching Japanese teams. In 2017, he was named head coach of the Japan women's national basketball team, guiding them to a silver medal at the Tokyo Olympics.
