Synopsis

This installment of our Japanophiles series features a vibrant conversation with a foreigner making a life in Japan. Photographer Everett Kennedy Brown employs the historic wet-plate collodion process to produce distinctive works of art that celebrate Japanese culture and scenery. Embracing a rural existence, Brown has recently turned his attention to a new subject: the traditional artisans and their crafts. Today, we explore how Brown is sharing the beauty of Japan with a global audience.
