Synopsis

A guest arrived at Thornfield, whose presence appeared to disturb Rochester in a manner quite beyond Jane’s comprehension. Then, when Mr. Mason, this enigmatic visitor, suffered a grievous injury one night, Jane’s anxieties and inquiries concerning the locked North Tower resurfaced with renewed force.
