Synopsis

A tourist attempted to intervene in a mugging, but was seized from behind. The assailant stabbed him. When the police arrived, the tourist was still alive, though the mugger lay dead, a bullet wound marring his chest. A weapon, later identified as having been used in the deaths of several other muggers, rested on the pavement nearby. The third participant in the crime had vanished.
