Synopsis

Burgos is under siege by Fernando's forces, as Portuguese efforts are made to dispatch a relief column to the rebels within the city. Simultaneously, Isabel navigates the complex and often contradictory demands of the aristocracy, the Church, and the Jewish community in her endeavor to secure the war's funding.
