Synopsis

Inspector Davies of the British Metropolitan Police journeyed to San Francisco for a conference, where he found himself drawn into an uncomfortable investigation alongside his old friend, Chief Ironside. As the details of the case unfolded, it became increasingly clear that Davies possessed knowledge he ought not to have, and that his participation might be linked to the troubling decline in his own health.
