Synopsis

The murder of a violin instructor at the San Francisco Conservatory cast a pall over the city's musical circles. A diverse array of gifted musicians now found themselves under suspicion. Chief Inspector Davies’ only lead was a cryptic message discovered within a collection of classical scores – a final communication from the victim to one of his students.
