Synopsis

The woman who penned a letter of encouragement to Ironside during his convalescence after being wounded has died, seemingly by her own hand. Convinced foul play was involved, Ironside launches an investigation, ultimately uncovering a heartbreaking truth. (Note: The episode features the original song "From The Day You're Born" prominently in its incidental music. The song was later re-used in the season as well, sung by guest star James Farentino in the episode "Something For Nothing".)
