The feeling is that they were intentionally holding things back in the last couple of episodes, presumably setting up something later on, but it lessened my enjoyment quite a bit, knocking the score down from a 7 (possibly an 8) to a 6. I understand wanting to withhold information if the narrative isn’t complete, however, there should have been considerably more chaos and damage shown during the action sequences. The emotional core of Ironheart turned out to be just a sad backstory, which briefly moved me. But when will we see the hero being admirable for what she's doing now instead of dwelling on her history? It seems like that won’t happen, at least according to how things ended. The introduction of the primary antagonist was underwhelming. A character like that really ought to evoke a sense of dread and anticipation about what might happen to the MCU characters. I didn't feel anything toward him, though. Perhaps that was intentional—a kind of trickery? Regardless, I’m hoping this leads to more X-Men content. It has been quite some time since I looked at the MCU Phase roadmap, so I honestly have no idea what is next.
