What's the deal with *Invincible*? It’s definitely not like *The Boys*. Seriously! You wouldn't think anything could be worse than something truly awful, but... What do I mean by that? This show is overly concerned with being progressive, though it lacks substance. I find this series pretty bad because of how weak it is. The excessive amount of swearing compared to the lack of genuine excitement is a prime example of trying too hard and failing. It reminds me of *Vox Machina*. That animated series seems to rely on profanity to distract from its shortage of, well, anything interesting! Which means it’s falling into that trap of DEI/ESG initiatives—those influences that are steadily ruining entertainment and making it impossible to attract fans or achieve any kind of positive impact. Nobody's interested in this show because there’s nothing captivating about it; there’s nothing to appeal to a male audience. We can get our fill of violence from video games, and we can hear people swearing by talking to our online friends. That leaves the desire for sensuality and sex appeal—that’s for those with refined tastes (lol). Since DEI, ESG, and representation are so focused on avoiding offense based on gender, skin color, or sexual orientation, there's nothing here that will hold anyone’s attention. These symbols of wokeness are stealing anything remotely engaging, exciting, or (please God) inspiring from entertainment. It's just one depressing story after another, which is incredibly dull! I finished the entire second season, and my experience with it was exactly like my experience with the first—nothing. Absolutely nothing. I don’t care if there’s a third season or when it comes out; it doesn’t do anything for me as a straight adult male. If you think this series is woke, you really need to read the comic book to see how much it differs. The comic isn't that much better, though. If you enjoy bland entertainment, then go ahead and watch it. But if you have other options, I suggest choosing those! It’ll be a far more worthwhile use of your time than wasting it on this series.
