I'm honestly not sure what to make of this series. It focuses more on the mundane lives of people than it does on aliens. The meaning behind that recurring word isn’t clear at all. I suspect the writers and producers intended to craft something exceptionally clever, a work that would be discussed by science fiction enthusiasts for years to come, but instead they produced something truly awful. I'm faulting Sam Neill for getting me invested in this show; I didn't realize his appearances would be so brief.
