The show does move at a somewhat deliberate pace, and its premise draws heavily from War of the Worlds, that being said, the performances are quite strong, the visual effects are impressive, the narrative is well-constructed, and it maintains enough suspense to hold your attention. Considering it as an adaptation of War of the Worlds, it’s arguably the strongest version available. It would be disappointing if a second season doesn't materialize.
