Synopsis

Jonel came into the world as a member of the Blackfeet Indian Tribe in Montana. When she was nine months pregnant, her boyfriend died suddenly in a car accident; shortly thereafter, she gave birth to their daughter, barely days after his funeral. Overwhelmed by shock and grief, Jonel began using Suboxone and methamphetamine—drugs tragically common on the reservation.
