Synopsis

At forty, Julie has frequently sought solace in food and drink during difficult periods. After her weight spiraled out of control, she underwent gastric bypass surgery, but now she uses the child support intended for her son to buy beer and potent peppermint schnapps. Her liver is failing, and she experiences frequent blackouts, often waking up disoriented in unfamiliar places. Julie desperately needs an intervention before she forfeits her family—and her life itself.
