Synopsis

Richard, a 34-year-old gay man, carried the weight of feeling different throughout his childhood, never truly finding acceptance. His stepfather’s punishments were harsh, stemming from what he perceived as effeminate behavior. Now, Richard lives in subsidized housing and has endured a desperate existence, resorting to various means—from illicit dealings to exploitation—to fuel his methamphetamine addiction. If his family hopes to reach him, they must confront their own failings and offer genuine
