Synopsis

Cassie’s childhood was marked by her mother’s absence and a father who cycled through marriages, leaving him often ill-equipped to guide her. Her defiant nature eventually led him to place her in a reform camp for adolescents, an institution that felt more like confinement than rehabilitation. Now, she battles addiction to crack cocaine and oxycodone, sustaining the habit through desperate means, and has a young son with whom contact is minimal. To reach Cassie, her family must navigate a profou
