Synopsis

Jimmy grew up under the shadow of an alcoholic father, and now struggles with heroin addiction himself. He became involved with a gang at thirteen, where drug use was commonplace. A father to a son, he has attempted sobriety before, but recent pressures from his family have led him to rely on methadone. His mother, Joannie, is also dependent on methadone, initially prescribed for lupus treatment, and battles alcoholism as well. She inadvertently supports Jimmy's addiction by covering his expense
