Synopsis

Architect Michael Gifford, known for his association with *Playboy* magazine, is discovered strangled in his vehicle. The investigation yields scant clues: a parking ticket and his personal diary. Morse and Lewis soon uncover a complex love triangle surrounding the victim, and the potential suspects multiply. Concurrently, Morse contemplates asking Grayling Russell on a date.
