Synopsis

A pall of disbelief descended upon Oxford with the news of a Japanese student's death, the circumstances suggesting a savage ritual. Detective Inspector Morse soon discovers a more perplexing complication: he has inadvertently provided each of his suspects with an airtight alibi.
