Synopsis

Laura Poindexter, a wealthy American visitor, died in the Randolph Hotel, Oxford, seemingly of a heart attack. Yet, Morse harbors a suspicion of something more sinister. Ms. Poindexter was scheduled to return a significant historical jewel to an Oxford museum, and the jewel has vanished. Soon after, Dr. Kemp, a historian known for his womanizing, falls and dies. Lucy Downes is tragically crushed within a telephone box, and Dr. Kemp's widow appears to have taken a fatal overdose of Paracetamol. M
