Synopsis

An explosion rips through the air, originating from a vacant storeroom on a quiet street in Vigata. Inspector Montalbano begins his inquiry, but finds himself quickly adrift in a confusing sequence of incidents, most notably through a chance encounter with a captivating and enigmatic woman.
