Synopsis

Sixth-grader Oliver sat with Paul in his office, waiting for his mother, Bess, to return from the deli and for his father, Luke, to arrive. To pass the time, Oliver suggested a game of Black Jack, playfully teasing Paul about his unfamiliarity with the rules. Then, abruptly demanding to know why he was there, Oliver revealed a painful truth: his parents had failed to tell him they were separating.
