After leaving Polar Industries, Hugh “Polar Bear” Rowland is back – and he’s opened his own trucking operation just steps away from his former employer. Determined to reclaim his title as the "King of the Road," Hugh isn't playing nice; he's aggressively poaching drivers and loads, aiming to put Polar Industries on its knees. He’s assembled a crew of formidable truckers ready to brave the brutal winter roads. But Mark Kohaykewych and Polar Industries won’t back down without a fight. To defend their territory, they’re bringing in reinforcements – legendary ice road drivers who represent some of Hugh's fiercest competition. Joining Polar are ice road icon Alex Debogorski, Alaskan trucking powerhouse Lisa Kelly (returning after a year away), and Montana legend Darrell Ward. Beyond the escalating rivalry, this season also introduces us to an unforgettable character: Joey Barnes, "The King of Obsolete." Deep in the north, Joey's yard is a living museum of vintage trucks – rare finds and quirky creations he’s personally rebuilt. And he doesn’t just collect them; he uses his unique fleet to become a one-man rescue operation, pulling people from peril in Manitoba’s most isolated locations.
