Synopsis

Even as millennia of ice sculpted the northern hemisphere and temperatures plummeted twenty degrees below what we know today, many of the age’s colossal creatures still roamed the earth. It was only with the return of warmer climates that mammoths, woolly rhinos, sabre-toothed cats, giant ground sloths, and glyptodonts ultimately vanished. Professor Alice Roberts now embarks on a final journey back to the Ice Age to uncover the reasons why.
