It’s hard finding entertainment these days that works for someone my age and their daughter. A lot of what's on television feels too mature to share, and many programs geared toward children are just not enjoyable. Then iCarly appeared, and it’s a series my daughter and I have been watching since the start. The show is clearly intended for a younger audience, but there are plenty of amusing instances—frequently thanks to Spencer, portrayed by Jerry Trainor—that hold my attention too. All four central characters (Carly, Sam, Freddy, and Spencer) are enjoyable to watch, and they seem to genuinely get along. It seems like their good rapport extends beyond the filming. As the initial season nears its conclusion, I’m hoping they keep producing new episodes. This is something I would suggest for any father who appreciates humor and can still embrace a childlike spirit while watching with his children.
