Synopsis

Lucy pleaded with Van Johnson to grant her a dance at the nightclub. Her aim was to impress Caroline Appleby, a visitor from New York and a rival for Van's attention. He accepted her challenge, and swept her across the ballroom floor in a waltz, becoming her partner for the evening. Movie star Van Johnson appeared as himself.
