Synopsis

The Ricardo household budget was once again teetering on the brink of collapse, this time thanks to Lucy’s latest scheme: to market her homemade salad dressing. Her ambition was to secure a spot on a morning television show, one run by the husband of her friend Caroline Appleby. There, home economist Mary Margaret McMertz (Ethel) would invite an “average housewife”—Lucy herself—to sample the dressing live on air.
