Synopsis

The women of Lucy’s club aspire to present an operetta, a grand ambition thwarted by a complete lack of funds. Lucy, the treasurer, appears to have exhausted the club’s resources on personal expenses. Consequently, Lucy and Ethel take it upon themselves to write and star in the musical. However, when a check for costumes and scenery bounces due to being postdated, the rental company swiftly reclaims all the equipment mid-performance.
